Staff
Húsavík Academic Center has six permanent staff members;
Óli Halldórsson, director of HAC, is in charge of daily operation and answers to the board of directors. His responsibilities include working toward attainment of the goals outlined in the mission statement, aquiring projects and implementing tasks as set out by the board. The director handles all financial responsibilities by proxy from the board.
Aðalsteinn J. Halldórsson, is a specialist in researches and development. His responsibilities include researches, surveys and regional studies.
Helena Eydís Ingólfsdóttir is project administrator for adult education and lifelong learning. Her responsibilities include administration of courses and study programmes as well as service to students and adult education institutions.
Guðrún Ósk Brynjarsdóttir is administrative assistant. Her responsibilities include customer service and general office duties in addition to daily maintenance and sanitation of the facilities.
Guðlaug Gísladóttir is a project manager in researches and development. She is working on a development project called "Sustainability Initiative", in cooperation with the companies Alcoa, Landsvirkjun and Landsnet.
Gréta Bergrún Jóhannesdóttir is a project-manager in the Education-Center at Þórshöfn (NE-Iceland). Her responsibilities consist of managing the Education-Center at Þórshöfn in daily basis, teaching and consulting, and course-planning.
Erla Dögg Ásgeirsdóttir is a study and job consultant. Her responsibilities consist of consulting for students and emploees in the area.
